City of Westfield-Adopt A Street Program

The City of Westfield’s Adopt-A-Street Program allows local individuals, families, businesses, neighborhood associations, organizations, churches, and community groups to perform a valuable community service by adopting sections of a city street to keep clear of litter and debris. Groups who participate in the Adopt-A Street Program will have their name recognized and listed on the City’s website and personalized street signs installed on their adopted street.

The Adopt-A-Street Program is free and open to those with a willingness to adopt a one-way mile stretch of road and agree to remove litter two (2) times per year. Participants may renew their adopted streets every two years, providing that program requirements are met. The city will provide groups with safety vests, trash grabbers, nitrile gloves, trash bags, and a first aid kit each session. Groups must be able to dispose collection bags at the City of Westfield's City Services Complex, located at 2728 E171st Street. Groups will complete a post project clean-up completion form to submit to the city. Participating youths must be at least (12) years of age and have parental permission. The Adopt-A-Street Program promotes community pride by demonstrating to residents, tourists and businesses that the community is active, energetic and cares about a clean and safe environment.
